Lists and device settings
Lists, items, notes, links and app settings are stored on your device. Time reminders are device-specific. The app does not request location permission or query your current location. The default language comes from your device’s region setting, without GPS or IP lookup.
Optional iCloud and sharing
If you connect iCloud after upgrading, Apple’s CloudKit processes list content, friend connections and the technical identifiers needed for sync and sharing. An email address you enter to invite a friend is sent to Apple to find their account. After a friend invitation is accepted, selected lists are shared without another acceptance step. Nicknames you assign to friends stay on this device. Previously saved display names remain with existing private friend connections for compatibility; the app no longer asks you to enter or publishes your own display name. Reminder settings are not included in list sync. Other participants may retain copies they have already received.
Purchases and external services
Apple handles payment and provides purchase verification through StoreKit. Simple List does not receive your payment card details. Apple’s services follow Apple’s privacy policy. Opening a saved web link takes you to a separate website with its own data practices.
Support email
When you email support, we process the email address, name and information you choose to send to respond to the inquiry. We use Gmail to receive and reply to messages. Ordinary inquiries are deleted when their purpose is complete; records subject to a legal retention duty are kept for that period. Where Korean e-commerce rules apply, consumer complaint or dispute records are retained for three years.
This website
This site adds no advertising, analytics, tracking cookies or external fonts. GitHub Pages hosts it and records visitors’ IP addresses for security, as described by GitHub. Apple, Google and GitHub may process service data outside your country under their own policies.
Your choices and requests
You can delete lists and items in the app and manage notification permission in your device settings. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests concerning support correspondence, contact the email below. A parent or guardian may make a request for a child. Data is deleted when no longer needed, except where retention is legally required.
Protection and updates
Access to support correspondence is limited to handling support and privacy requests. Device data uses the operating system’s app storage protections. Changes to this policy are published here with an updated date.
